Bourjois City Radiance foundation is quite yellow based but can be blended out to look well on my skin. I’m using 01 Rose Ivory which is a good pick if you’re on the pale side but still want to look natural. There isn’t much of a choice when it comes to shades, there are only 6 to choose from and Rose Ivory is the lightest of them.

The coverage is fairly light and I don’t find it great for building up to much more than that. It starts to look a bit cakey and too dark on me but a light layer is enough to make me look a little more awake at 7 AM. If I have any blemishes or feel like I need a good coverage, I’d skip it and go for something else altogether. City Radiance is more along the lines of a good BB cream than a foundation so it doesn’t quite compete with some of the other bases in my collection. It has SPF 30 which I love as I can be a bit forgetful when it comes to SPF every day so the fact that I’ve been using this every morning means I’m always covered if I venture outside.

Along with the foundation, I’ve been using Radiance Reveal concealer (I’m mad for the radiance lately). This is a lovely under eye concealer. It’s brightening, lightweight and blends really well. Both products promise radiance boosting miracles and on that front they both perform quite well. They provide a natural, dewy glow without the need for excessive highlighting.

Where these guys fall short is definitely longevity. Neither looks great at the end of the working day, in fact, they have almost completely disappeared before I even go to take off my makeup. This generally doesn’t bother me day to day but if you need your makeup to perform from morning well into night, these aren’t for you. Touch ups are definitely required, especially if you have oily skin as I find I start to look a bit shiny without a good powder.

In general, though, I do like these and they do a grand job for heading to the office and back. I don’t want to be wasting my good foundation sitting at my computer for 8 hours now do I?

Have you tried Bourjois City Radiance Foundation yet?
