Late last year I took a little trip to France’s capital and it was incredible. Paris is as enchanting as you would imagine and it is lovely and romantic but honestly, I spent most of my time at Disneyland. I have no regrets. I had the most fun weekend I think I’ve had in my entire life and I am dying to do it again. There’s nothing quite as good for the soul as throwing on some Minnie Mouse ears and running around like an eight year old on a sugar high. Not a care in the world did I have and it was fabulous.

Of course I went on all of the rides, even the ones that scared the bejaysus out of me at first! Crush’s Coaster and Thunder Mountain were my favorites. The park is just a pleasure to walk around regardless of the attractions. I loved the music and all of the gift shops and the look on all of the kiddies faces as they watched the parade and met their favourite characters was brilliant. I went in October so the park was decorated for Halloween and all the villains were out in force, my favourites!

I did manage to venture into the city for a roam around. I did it all on foot and although it was tiring, it was so worth it. You can take in so much more of the city walking around and find all kinds of little treasures. Even though it was October the weather was great which made the walk a little more bearable. One thing I’ve always wanted to do was go to the top of the Eiffel Tower and the view from the top was incredible. I wanted to be romantic and drink champagne but they charge €12 for a tiny plastic cup. Eh no. After that we headed to the Louvre. I would have loved to have more time to spend there, I think you’d need to dedicate at least a couple of days just to take it all in. We strolled along the Seine and popped into some of the pharmacies along the way (all that skincare!) before stopping for a coffee. All that and I only got a teeny bit lost. I would call that a success.

Eiffel Tower, Paris 2015
Paris October 2015The Eiffel Tower looks incredible lit up at night and we hung around to watch the light show for a while before heading for dinner. The restaurant we ate at was gorgeous, exactly what you’d expect from Paris but it wasn’t crazy expensive and I’m raging cause I can’t remember what it was called. I will go searching for it next time I am there! The food and wine was delicious and it was the perfect way to finish off our day in Paris.
