I love these posts, probably because I’m a nosy wagon and there’s nothing I enjoy more than having a good snoop around someone else’s stash. Here’s a little peek inside my everyday make-up bag.

I’m a fan of minimal make-up for day-to-day things like going to work and shopping. The bits I have in this make-up bag are what I use on a daily basis; it’s not my whole collection but just the things I use when I need to get ready in ten minutes or less or want to have a really laid back look.

ABM_1394466840Inglot Travel Brush Set: I got these just after Christmas and they are great for make-up on the go and touch ups. I bring this make-up bag everywhere with me so it’s great that I’m not always shoving more expensive, full size brushes in and squashing them. The case keeps ‘em nice and clean too. This set includes powder, concealer, eye shadow, angled brow, lip and contour brushes.  The brushes themselves are really good quality, I’ve only had a problem with the contour brush shedding but it’s the one I use least anyway. These were around €28 at Inglot.

Concealer: Right now I’m using Rimmel Wake Me Up for under the eyes and Mac Studio Finish for blemishes. I use the flat Inglot concealer brush and my ring finer to blend.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation.  I love this. I use the Inglot powder brush to throw this over my face, it takes about ten seconds and provides a good coverage and adds a bit of life to my dull complexion. I use this day-to-day instead of a liquid foundation as it’s quicker and easier than blending liquid. It’s also great for adding touch ups during the day if needed. I use NW20 but it’s actually slightly too dark for me so I’ll get a lighter colour when I’m replacing this one. It’s around €36.50 but mine has lasted months and I use it every day. As you can see, it’s well loved.

Eyebrows: I’m using the L’Oreal Super Liner Brow Artist. This is so easy to use and gives the look of fuller brows in seconds. I featured this in my February Favorites so have a read of that if you want a more detailed review.

Mascara: Right now I’m using the Catrice All Round Mascara but I’m not loving it. It does its job and makes my lashes look fuller and longer but it does have a tendency to smudge. I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing this one.

Eye Shadow: I use my Urban Decay Naked Palette pretty much every day and Buck and Naked are the shades I use most. If I need to throw in eye shadow to use on the go I include the Revlon Colorstay quad in Decadent which has four neutral shades that are easy to blend.

Cheeks:  I’m using Bourjois blush in Rose D’Or. This adds a nice rosy glow to the cheeks and it’s easy to blend. I use the Bobbi Brown mini face blender with this.

Lips:  Lip products are the only things that are constantly on rotation in my bag. I change them up a lot but right now I am loving this lipstick in the colour Ginger & Fred from Catrice. It’s a pretty rosy-pink that’s great for a subtle day time look.

Blotting Paper: I always keep blotting paper in my make-up bag. It’s so handy for taking away any excess oil or blotting lipstick.

And that’s all it takes to get me ready for my day. What’s in your make-up bag? Feel free to share your day-to-day essentials in the comments, I’d love to read them.

  1. Love this post (from a fellow nosy wagon). I’m looking for a set of travel sized brushes but I’ve heard mixed reviews about Inglot’s brushes. Would you give them a thumbs up?

(Ps your makeup bag is fab <3)

    • Thanks so much! Yeah, I really would. I was looking for brushes like them for ages and I’m so glad I got these. The rectangle shaped/contour one has shed from the first time I used it but the rest have never shed at all.
